Your prep for IBA & LUMS 2027 starts here

IBA Karachi conducts its Bachelor's Combined Admission Test (BCAT) in three rounds each year, for applicants to BBA, BS programmes (Economics, Accounting & Finance, Computer Science, Social Sciences). LUMS runs a similar aptitude test for its own BCAT admissions. If you're targeting either university, this is your entry test.

For Fall 2027, IBA's Round 1 applications open 1 October 2026, with the deadline on 9 December 2026 and the aptitude test on Sunday, 20 December 2026. IBA also runs Round 2 (test 21 March 2027) and Round 3 (test 20 June 2027) for applicants who miss Round 1. Always confirm exact dates on IBA's official admissions portal before registering.

IBA BCAT has three sections: English (vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, sentence correction), Mathematics (arithmetic, algebra, basic geometry, word problems), and Analytical Reasoning (logical deduction, puzzles, sequences, family-tree problems). There is no General Knowledge section. Our practice product is built around exactly these three.

IBA runs three rounds — Round 1 (test 20 Dec 2026), Round 2 (test 21 Mar 2027), and Round 3 (test 20 Jun 2027) — for the same Fall 2027 intake. Each round has its own available seats and cutoff, but the test format and difficulty stay consistent throughout. Applying in Round 1 gives you the most available seats and the most runway to prepare before classes start in August 2027.

IBA's Round 1 applications open 1 October 2026 and the test is 20 December 2026 — nearly 3 months of runway if you start today. Our practice product is built for exactly that timeline: a personalized study plan, IBA-style sectional practice, full-length mocks, and quickest-way-to-solve notes so you don't waste a single hour.

Maqsad is trusted by 45,000+ enrolled students across Maqsad batches.
