Scientific Notation is special form to write very large or very small number conveniently.

In scientific notation a number is written in the form of a×10xa\times10^{x} where 'a' is a decimal number between 1 and 10 (inclusive), and 'x' is an integer that represents the number of places the decimal point is moved to the right (if 'x' is positive) or to the left (if 'x' is negative).

For example:

The number 700,000,000700,000,000 can be written in scientific notation as 7×1087 \times 10^8 where 'aa' is 77 and 'xx' is 88.

Similarly, the number 0.00000350.0000035 can be written in scientific notation as 3.5×1063.5 \times 10^{-6}, where 'aa' is 3.53.5 and 'xx' is 6-6.
