Biodiversity is the combination of two words; Bio (life), and diversity (variation). It is defined as the degree of variation within or among the species that exist on different regions of the earth”. It is comprised of different organisms such as bacteria, protozoans, algae, fungi, animals, and plants.
Biodiversity is important in the following ways for us:
