HEAT:
Heat is a form of energy that flows from a hot body to a cold body due to the temperature difference between them. Its SI Unit is Joules (J). Other commonly used unit is Calories (Cal).
TEMPERATURE:
Temperature is a measure of the hotness or coldness of a body. It depends on the average kinetic energy of the molecules present inside the body. Its SI Unit is Kelvin (K). Other commonly used units are Celsius () and Fahrenheit ().
A hot cup of tea is placed on table, after some time the tea in the cup becomes cold because surrounding temperature is lower than that of the hot tea. Hence heat energy flows from hot cup to the surrounding.
A cold drink is placed on table, after some time it becomes warm because surrounding temperature is higher than that of the cold drink. Hence heat energy flows from the surroundings to the cold drink.
