Biology has three major divisions:
Zoology: Zoology deals with the study of animals. The word Zoology is derived from the Greek language, “Zoon” meaning animals, and Logos meaning “study or knowledge”.
Botany: Botany deals with the study of plants. The word Botany is taken from the Greek language, “Butane” meaning plants, and Logos meaning “study or knowledge
Microbiology: This branch of Biology deals with the study of microscopic organisms such as Bacteria, viruses, etc, which can be seen only with the help of a microscope.
