The NUST formula combines three components using a 10/15/75 weightage system.
SSC — 10%
Matriculation
FSc — 15%
Intermediate
NET — 75%
out of 200
SSC: (obtained ÷ 1100) × 10
FSc: (obtained ÷ 1100) × 15
NET: (score ÷ 200) × 75
Aggregate = SSC + FSc + NET
Enter SSC Marks
Input your Matriculation (10th grade) marks obtained out of 1100.
Enter FSc Part 1 Marks
Input your FSc Part 1 (HSSC Part 1) marks obtained out of 1100.

Frequently Asked Questions — NUST Aggregate Calculator
The NUST aggregate uses a 10/15/75 weightage: 10% from Matric (SSC), 15% from FSc Part 1 marks, and 75% from your NET score. Each component is converted to a percentage of its total, multiplied by its weight, then summed. Because NET carries 75% of the weight, it is by far the most impactful component of your aggregate.
It refers to the official NUST merit weightage: 75% NET + 15% Intermediate + 10% Matric. The NET score is by far the most important component — even a 10-mark NET improvement raises your aggregate by 3.75%. This makes the NET the single most effective lever for improving your NUST merit.
Top H-12 Islamabad programs like SEECS Computer Science and Electrical Engineering typically close around 78–82%. Most engineering programs at H-12 close around 70–75%. Regional NUST campuses (Risalpur, Karachi, Quetta) close significantly lower, sometimes around 55–65%. These are indicative figures — cutoffs vary each year based on the applicant pool.
NUST considers only FSc Part 1 (HSSC Part 1) marks for the aggregate calculation. If your Part 2 result is not yet declared, you can still calculate your aggregate using Part 1 marks. Once Part 1 results are available, you should use those rather than estimates.
No. NUST requires its own NET (NUST Entry Test) for engineering, computing, and science programs. MDCAT scores are not accepted for NUST admissions. If you are applying to both medical colleges and NUST, you must appear in both the MDCAT and the NET separately.
NUST offers up to four NET sessions per admission cycle (NET-1, NET-2, NET-3, NET-4). Your highest score across all attempts is used for merit calculation, so there is no penalty for attempting multiple sessions. Additional attempts are a strategic advantage — use all four if needed to maximise your score.
