THERMOMETER:
Thermometer is a device, used to measure temperature.
There are different types of thermometers for different purposes. E.g. A clinical thermometer is used to measure the temperature of human body.
SCALES OF TEMPERATURE:
Thermometers have a scale marked on them. The scale help us give a numeric value to the temperature.
The three commonly used temperature scales are:
Celsius scale (Mostly used for environmental measurements)
Fahrenheit scale (Mostly used for clinical measurements)
Kelvin scale (Mostly used for industrial measurements)
INTERCONVERSION OF SCALES:
These three scales of temperature are interconvertible.
Therefore temperature measured in Celsius scale can be converted into Kelvin and Fahrenheit.
