Is the MDCAT syllabus different for your province?
No — the MDCAT syllabus is identical nationwide. Whether you're in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Balochistan, Islamabad or Azad Kashmir (AJK), PMDC sets one Uniform Curriculum, so the syllabus, subject weightage and paper pattern — 180 MCQs split as Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9 and Logical Reasoning 9 — are exactly the same. What changes by province is only the conducting and admitting authority that runs admissions for its region.
Merit is per-province — but the formula is the same everywhere
You compete only for your home-province seats, so closing merit differs by applicant pool size and seat count — not exam content or difficulty.
The aggregate formula is uniform nationwide: 10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT. See registration & domicile by province.
Applying to NUMS?
NUMS has its own syllabus and aggregate formula (FSc 50% + entry test 50%, no Matric).
