IoBM Admission Test 2026 — Syllabus, Dates & Paper Pattern
Last updated:Complete syllabus for the IoBM Aptitude Test (BBA, BS Accounting & Finance, BS CS, BS Psychology, Media Studies & more). The test has 115 MCQs in 70 minutes across six strictly timed sections — English (60), Math (25), Series (15) and General Knowledge (15) — with no negative marking. Speed is everything, and Maqsad's BCAT prep trains you for exactly that.

IoBM 2026 Test Format & Paper Pattern
One aptitude test is used for all of IoBM's bachelor's programs — business, computing and social sciences alike. It is a paper-based test on campus: 115 five-option MCQs (A–E) in 70 minutes, answered in pencil on an OMR sheet. English carries more than half the paper, so strong vocabulary and grammar matter most.

Every Section Is Timed Separately
The invigilator starts and stops each part on the clock — you cannot go back to an earlier section or bank spare time for a later one. This is the single biggest difference between IoBM and other business-school tests.
Vocabulary
Structure & Written Expression
Reading Comprehension
5 min reading + 5 min answering
Writing Ability
Problem Solving (Math)
Number / Letter Series
General Knowledge
Reading Comprehension is a memory test
You get 5 minutes to read the passage, then it is taken away and you answer 10 questions from memory. Notes and underlining are not allowed — practise reading actively for names, numbers and the author's main point.

Does IoBM Have Negative Marking?
No — IoBM confirms there is no negative marking in the aptitude test. That changes the strategy completely: a blank answer can never earn you a mark.
+1
Correct answer
Every correct answer adds to your score.
0
Wrong answer
No deduction for a wrong answer — the same as leaving it blank.
Strategy tip
Never leave a bubble empty. When the invigilator calls one minute left, fill every remaining answer — even a blind guess on a 5-option MCQ is a 20% chance at a free mark.
Answer everything before time is called.
