COMSATS University Islamabad admits undergraduate students through the NTS National Aptitude Test (NAT). Pre-engineering students applying to BS Engineering or Computer Science programmes take the NAT-IE group, whose Subject Knowledge section covers FSc Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

What is the COMSATS NAT test pattern 2026?

The NAT has 90 MCQs to be solved in 120 minutes: English (20 MCQs), Analytical Reasoning (20 MCQs), Quantitative Reasoning (20 MCQs) and Subject Knowledge (30 MCQs). There is no negative marking.

Does the COMSATS NAT have negative marking?

No, the NTS NAT does not have negative marking. Incorrect answers do not deduct marks, so students should attempt all 90 questions.

What is the COMSATS merit formula?

COMSATS merit is generally calculated as: NAT entry test 50%, FSc/Intermediate 40% and Matric/SSC 10%. Weightage can vary by campus and programme, so always verify on the official COMSATS admissions portal.

How many times can I attempt the NAT for COMSATS?

The NTS NAT is conducted multiple times a year and each score is valid for one year. You can attempt it more than once before admissions close, and your best valid score is used for merit calculation.

Step 01 — Know the test dates

COMSATS 2026 — NAT Dates by Campus

7 campuses — NAT test dates, apply-by & merit list.

Pick your NAT type by background — Pre-Engineering → NAT-IE, Computer Science → NAT-ICS, Pre-Medical → NAT-IM. Sit it at a COMSATS campus or any regular NTS centre. Already have a valid score from the last year? Skip the test — scores are valid for 1 year, and if you retake it, your best score counts.
