The University of Karachi runs its own Bachelor Entrance Test — 100 MCQs worth 100 marks, with a 50% passing requirement. The 2027 admission cycle is expected to open around October 2026. The first 40 marks (English + IQ / General Knowledge) are compulsory for everyone; the remaining 60 marks are three subjects chosen to match your background.

The subject combination is set by your Intermediate background and the KU program you apply to. UBIT (Computer Science) applicants most commonly sit Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Always confirm the exact three subjects against the latest KU prospectus.
